Commissioning & Installation of New Power Transformers

Successfully removed old units and installed and commissioned four (4) new 132/13.8 kV, 40 MVA power transformers at Al-Khafji Joint Operations (KJO), ensuring seamless integration and reliable power delivery.

Comprehensive Overhaul and Refurbishment of 132/13.8 kV, 40 MVA Power Transformers

Due to significant aging and multiple oil leaks originating from the main tank cover, radiators, flanges, and High Voltage (HV)
Bushing, a comprehensive overhaul and refurbishment were successfully performed on the 132/13.8 kV, 40 MVA power
transformers, which included a thorough oil filtration process. This extensive refurbishment has significantly extended the
asset’s lifespan and restored equipment performance to a near-new condition.

SF₆ Gas Leakage Repair and Compartment Restoration

Preventive Maintenance for Power Transformers

Performed preventive maintenance on more than 40 power transformers, ranging from 132 kV to 380 kV and 40 MVA to 450 MVA, for major clients including the Saudi Electricity Company (SEC) and KJO. Our maintenance programs have significantly improved reliability and extended the operational life of these critical assets.

OLTC Maintenance & Functional Testing

Conducted preventive maintenance and functional testing for over 21 On-Load Tap Changers (OLTCs) for SEC and KJO.

High Voltage Component Repairs

Replaced defective high-voltage bushings on power transformers, restoring insulation integrity and preventing equipment failure.

High Voltage Component Repairs

Repaired oil leaks from both current transformer (CT) terminal boxes and transformer radiator butterfly valves, preventing environmental hazards, maintaining dielectric strength, eliminating oil loss, and improving cooling performance.

Switchgear

Majed Power performed comprehensive preventive maintenance and rigorous testing across a range of Switchgear and protection relays crucial to KJO’s assets.
